Bruce Willis

Bruce Willis is a Partner and the Leader of KPMG’s Advisory Services practice in Saskatchewan. He has 30 years of professional service experience, focusing on providing assurance and risk-based business advisory services to the public sector, publicly-traded companies and private organizations. Bruce is an experienced project manager, routinely responsible for managing projects ranging from only a few days to over a year in length, including managing diverse teams operating in multiple locations. Over the past several years, Bruce has also facilitated dozens of consultative sessions with the public, stakeholders, senior management, Board of Directors, and Audit Committees to support business process improvement, risk assessment and risk management projects.

Over the past 30 years, Bruce has been involved with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Saskatchewan (ICAS) which has now merged with the CMA’s and CGA’s to form CPA(Chartered Public Accounts) Sask. ICAS was an impartial organization which represents 2,000 Chartered Accountants and students and is responsible for providing accurate and independent information in a wide range of areas including financial expertise, strategic thinking, business insight, and leadership. Bruce has sat on various committees throughout the years including the Education, Fees Review, Conduct, Practice Appraisal, and Audit Committees. Bruce served a 4-year term on Council (the most senior Governing Body) and now sits on the Discipline Committee.

Bruce received his FCA designation and it’s a testament to the volunteer commitment he has devoted to the provincial institute and the profession. Bruce takes his dedication to his profession seriously and uses it throughout all his other volunteer efforts, in the interest of applying knowledge in a manner that is beneficial to the organization.

Bruce has also been on the Board of Directors at SaskFilm for seven years, and is the Policy Sub-Committee Chair of the Film Industry Task Force which is working on the film industry challenges within the province of Saskatchewan. Bruce was highly involved in the 1st Policy Review in the province which helped enhance tax credits. Similar to his commitment to ICAS, Bruce works hard to enhance the integrity of the film industry, while increasing the business and cultural industry in our province.

Bruce also currently sits on the United Way of Regina Board of Directors and serves as Chair of the Governance Committee; and is a former member of their Campaign Committee. Bruce is also a Board member of Creative Saskatchewan and Chair of their Audit Committee. He is an active member with the local Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). He was a member of their Board of Governors from 2000-2008 and was instrumental in building a strong IIA chapter in Regina. In addition, Bruce is a member of Saskatchewan Motion Picture Industry Association and Financial Executives International.
