Gursh Barnard

An accredited executive coach and leadership strategist, Gursh Barnard collaborates with individuals, organizations and companies to improve performance and results through powerful communication.

Gursh works with senior executives, leaders and managers to help them develop a high level of influence, build relationships with stakeholders, develop high-level strategic thinking skills, and motivate teams to action. As a former business leader with over two decades of experience in community leadership and communications, Gursh knows first-hand the challenges her clients and their organizations face in achieving outstanding performance.

As an executive coach, Gursh works with clients to help them lead by uncovering and exploiting opportunities, and meeting the challenges of achieving strategic goals. Through her coaching, clients develop new leadership skills while learning to emphasize their own unique qualities.

As a partner collaborating with senior leaders in organizations, Gursh works with executives and leadership teams to help them develop as authentic, inspirational leaders who shape, develop and implement successful business strategies. When faced with growth, execution of new initiatives, organizational redesign or enterprise-wide change, clients find Gursh’s insights and understanding of leadership and personal mastery crucial for encouraging collaboration and breaking down barriers to moving themselves and their organizations forward.

In addition to her expertise in business, Gursh has over 25 years of experience in community leadership, management, consulting and board experience. Respect for individuals and helping them to achieve their potential is at the heart of Gursh’s professional and volunteer activities. In 2008 she was the first recipient in the Volunteer category of the Saskatchewan Lieutenant- Governor’s Awards for the Arts. A driving force behind many community initiatives, she understands the importance of leadership to strengthen our society and economy.

Her community board involvements include diverse interests and accomplishments. She is currently serving on the boards of the Saskatchewan Foundation for the Arts, New Dance Horizons and the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. Since 1991 she has been involved with over thirty community volunteer initiatives as a board member or on advisory committees. These have included the Saskatchewan Arts Board, Habitat for Humanity, Canada Summer Games, Citizenship and Immigration, Regina Multicultural Council, Mosaic Festival of Cultures and the Winnipeg Art Gallery.

Gursh’s unwavering commitment to help individuals, corporations and community organizations to stretch beyond their current achievements for positive growth and performance is evident in her professional, community and personal life.
